This year, Valentine's Day hit on a Saturday. Anthony got up early to go get his taxes done. I slept in because I was exhausted from what was another wacky work week.
I vowed not to buy Anthony any more electronic based gifts. He has still never used the tablet computer I got him a couple of years ago. But, I decided to try one more time. I got creative and got him a super fancy electronic toothbrush. He's kind of obsessive about brushing his teeth and I thought it would be a gift that he'd actually use. It has electronic indicators that alert the user if you're brushing too hard, how long to brush each area of your mouth, and can hold a ten day charge. He hasn't opened it yet so only time will tell.
Anthony brought home a couple of donuts from Dunkin Donuts for me. Now that's some love.
I had planned on making both of us dinner at home but he got kind of sick in the afternoon so he went to bed early and I went to Paco's Mexican to get a California burrito.
Not a traditional Valentine's Day by any means. But, if we had traditional holiday experiences, there wouldn't be interesting stories to tell.
