First meal of 2013 at Boston Market

Anthony and I decided to have a late lunch / early dinner at Boston Market as our first eating out experience of 2013.  Actually, I only had a cheese danish all day so it really functioned as breakfast.

The funniest moment when we were there occured when we ordered.  Anthony ordered a Carver sandwich, and I ordered a Market Bowl.  Once he heard my order, he decided that's what he wanted instead and made the woman behind the counter change the order.  He and I laughed about it, she just seemed annoyed.  Maybe she wasn't happy about working on New Year's Day.

One thing that seems to be a running theme with us:  The restaurant was empty except for the employees and Anthony and I for about half of our meal.  We seem to have a knack for going to restaurants either when they're totally empty or so slammed there is a long wait.  Empty happens far more often than slammed.

I'm still burping it up two hours later, proof that it was a good filling dinner / breakfast.

Chicken, corn, mashed potatoes, and smothered in gravy.
Just like mom would make... if she owned a Boston Market.

Once again, we're eating in an empty restaurant.

This little cardboard insert was in the salt and pepper rack in place of the salt

Boston Market can try to reduce sodium all they want...
but let's face it, that's what makes the food taste good.
