The funniest moment when we were there occured when we ordered. Anthony ordered a Carver sandwich, and I ordered a Market Bowl. Once he heard my order, he decided that's what he wanted instead and made the woman behind the counter change the order. He and I laughed about it, she just seemed annoyed. Maybe she wasn't happy about working on New Year's Day.
One thing that seems to be a running theme with us: The restaurant was empty except for the employees and Anthony and I for about half of our meal. We seem to have a knack for going to restaurants either when they're totally empty or so slammed there is a long wait. Empty happens far more often than slammed.
I'm still burping it up two hours later, proof that it was a good filling dinner / breakfast.
Boston Market Market Bowl Chicken, corn, mashed potatoes, and smothered in gravy. Just like mom would make... if she owned a Boston Market. |
Boston Market at 3 p.m. on New Year's Day 2013 at Grant and Tanque Verde in Tucson Once again, we're eating in an empty restaurant. |
This little cardboard insert was in the salt and pepper rack in place of the salt |
Boston Market can try to reduce sodium all they want... but let's face it, that's what makes the food taste good. |
