I saw a statistic today that was shocking: 41% of Americans are nearsighted!
This is a dramatic increase from the 1970's when 25% of Americans were nearsighted. What is it attributed to? Poor nighttime lighting, heavy use of computer screens, and heavy use of mobile devices (cell phones). Texting could be making you blind!
Actually, it's probably sexting that's making you blind. It's like that old wives tale about playing with yourself making you blind. My mom never said that to me but she probably knew. I've worn glasses / contacts since I was a kid!
